Japan’s PlayStation Store to get its first SuperGrafx game in the form of Battle Ace
According to adriasang, Japan's PlayStation Store will get its first SuperGrafx game next week in the form of Battle Ace, an air combat shooter that has more than a few similarities to Afterburner.
The SuperGrafx was released in 1989 with slightly better graphics than its predecessor, the PC Engine. Unfortunately, there was very little support for the system, and in the end, only seven games were ever released for it - 1941: Counter Attack, Aldynes, Battle Ace, Ghouls n' Ghosts, Madouou Granzort, Darius Alpha, and Darius Plus. Both Darius Alpha and Darius Plus were playable on the PC Engine, so one could argue that the system only had five games that were made specifically for it.
