Gamers got their first taste of this song during one of the greatest rain-filled sequences in video game history - stage 2-2 of Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos on the NES. The awesomeness of this piece combined with the way in which the wind and rain (or is it snow?) push Ryu into a higher level of awareness turn an otherwise typical platforming affair into a very satisfying level to play through. I often find myself throwing the game on and making my way to that stage just so that I can listen to the music. It's that good!
